I wasn’t going to say anything the last time I blogged about the possibility of running into ledge. Well, the excavator ran into ledge (where’s the music that announces something like this!). Not sure what it’s going to mean for the basement. The house may have to go up, since we are not at the max building height for Gloucester yet, or the basement will have a lower ceiling in some spots, maybe to the point where that part of the basement is only usable as storage. The door leading from the basement has moved from under the deck stairs to the back of the house. That doesn’t bother me.
It’s now Saturday, so no more work on the site until next week. I’m still recovering from knee surgery last Tuesday so getting around is difficult. That will change in time.
